1. 3 report injuries at Roswell apartment fire; about 30 people displaced (dailydispatch.com) — A fire at Aspen Pointe Apartments in Roswell has displaced about 30 residents and injured three people, including a firefighter and a police officer. Crews evacuated unaware tenants from a dozen affected units, while the Red Cross is now helping 47 people from 11 families with emergency supplies, direct assistance, and recovery planning after the smoky afternoon blaze.
   

2. Roswell proposes more than 50% property tax rate increase (kiss104fm.com) — Roswell homeowners could face a property tax rate hike of more than 50%, adding roughly $575 a year for a home valued at $575,000. City officials say the extra revenue would fund road work, facility upkeep and public safety, with the City Council set to consider the proposal on Sept. 28.
   

3. Vacant Roswell Kohl's converted into $28M church facility (fox5atlanta.com) — A long-vacant Kohl's on Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell has been transformed into an 80,000‑square‑foot Eagles Nest Church community hub, the first phase of a $28 million campus. Local leaders hope the seven‑day‑a‑week venue, which can host concerts, weddings, trainings and public forums, will jump‑start economic activity and give Roswell residents a new place to gather.
   

4. Pair who swindled Shelby Twp. woman out of 100K plead guilty (macombdaily.com) — Roswell police helped arrest a Georgia man accused of joining another suspect in scamming a Michigan woman out of more than $100,000 by posing as federal officials. The pair have now pleaded guilty in Macomb County, Michigan, and could see their felony charges reduced if they repay the victim and meet probation terms, including reimbursing extradition costs from Georgia.
