Roswell Police Arrest Man After He Barricaded Himself In Hotel
Roswell Police arrested a man Wednesday for terroristic threats after he barricaded himself in a room at the Ramada Inn off Mansell Road.

ROSWELL, GA — A man has been arrested after he barricaded himself in the Ramada Inn.
Sgt. Britney Rodgers said on Wednesday afternoon at 2:10 p.m., officers from the Roswell Police Department were dispatched and responded to the Ramada Inn, 3020 Mansell Road, in reference to a request to remove a guest from the hotel. According to hotel staff, a white man in his 50s was causing a disturbance in the lobby.
Prior to officers’ arrival, the male barricaded himself inside his hotel room. When officers attempted to make contact with the subject, he threatened to shoot the officers, Rodgers said.

The North Fulton SWAT and Crisis Negotiations Teams responded to the scene, and members of the Crisis Negotiation Team were in contact with the man.
Some time later, the man stopped communicating with crisis negotiators and refused to respond to further attempts to make contact.

At 5:10 p.m., the North Fulton SWAT Team made entry into the subject’s hotel room.
The man was taken into custody for terroristic threats against law enforcement. Rodgers said the man is currently being cleared by medical staff for a single Taser deployment.
