ROSWELL, GA — The Roswell Police Department has made an arrest in the case involving a man accused of inappropriately grabbing a woman while she utilized a local park.

Izet Dedic, 59, is charged with sexual battery, the agency said late Saturday evening. Roswell police spokesperson Lisa Holland said that after seeing the "composite sketch of himself in the news, Dedic came to the Roswell Police Department to meet with the investigator about the case."

The incident came to light when officers were dispatched around 11 a.m. Monday, July 16 to a call of a woman who had been inappropriately touched at Roswell Area Park at 14095 Woodstock Road.

"When she tried to depart, the suspect reached around and physically grabbed and groped her," the agency added.

The woman was able to get away, call 911 and provided police with a photo of the suspect walking in the park. Roswell police on Friday released a composite sketch of the suspect, who was described as a white male in his 60s, about 6 feet tall and has blue eyes and salt and pepper hair.

Dedic, a Roswell resident, has been transported to the Fulton County Jail. Return to Patch for updates.
