Police: Suspect Attacked Runner On Roswell Trail
The victim, who was running along Riverside Road early Sunday morning, said a male hit her in the back of the head.

Police in Roswell are looking for the suspect who allegedly hit a woman while she was running on one of the city’s trails.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 11 when the victim, a 51-year-old woman, was “struck in the head by a male” while running on the trail along Riverside Road near Northshore Drive, said Roswell police spokesperson Zachary Frommer.
According to police, the man approached the woman and as he passed, hit her in the back of the head. The blow knocked the victim to the ground.

Frommer said the man continued to walk away as the victim called 911 to report the attack. The woman was transported to North Fulton Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.
The alleged attacker is described as a white male between 5’8’’ and 5’9’’, has a medium build and was possibly wearing gray or black sweats.

Roswell police units searched the area by foot, bicycle and with police K-9’s but were unable to locate the subject.
The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call the Roswell Police Department at 770-640-4100.
