Police: Woman Keys SUV After Driver Takes Parking Space

Roswell police say one woman allegedly scratched the vehicle of another during a Christmas event at Hillside Elementary School.

An Alpharetta woman is out on bond following an apparent road rage incident that left an SUV’s passenger side door riddled with scratches.

Roswell police on Saturday, Jan. 17 arrested Letty Amelia Bradford and charged her with criminal damage to property in the second degree and disrupting public school.

Roswell police on Dec. 19 were called to Hillside Elementary School at 9250 Scott Road in reference to a woman whose black 2014 Kia Sorento had been vandalized in school’s parking lot.

The victim pulled into the parking lot at the school during a Christmas program and was “stuck behind the suspect for over a minute,” Roswell police spokesperson Lisa Holland said.

“When the suspect didn’t move, she (the victim) went around her and parked in a parking space,” Holland added.

When that occurred, the suspect allegedly “jumped out of her car” and began to yell at the woman for “taking her parking space,” Holland said.

After the confrontation, Holland said the suspect parked her vehicle, came back to the Kia Sorento and scratched its passenger side door.

“This was a road rage incident in a parking lot that went a little too far,” Holland stated.

There was over $600 worth of damage to the vehicle, which Holland said makes the charge a felony, as Georgia law classifies property damage over $500 as a felony. Bradford posted a $5,000 bond and was released on Monday from the Fulton County Jail.
