Robert Gwaltney to discuss ‘Sing Down the Moon’ During Free Atlanta Authors Event March 14 at Roswell Library
Winner of the 2023 Georgia Author of the Year for First Novel, Gwaltney will spotlight his new book in conversation with author Lo Patrick

Robert Gwaltney will be the Atlanta Authors featured speaker Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at the Roswell Library, discussing his just-released novel, “Sing Down the Moon.” The award-winning writer will be in conversation with another accomplished Atlanta-area author, Lo Patrick.
“I am so fortunate to be hosted by Atlanta Authors in Roswell and look forward to discussing the power of Southern storytelling,” Gwaltney said, “how place, memory and voice shape who we are.”
A recipient of the 2022 Pat Conroy Writers Residency, Gwaltney was named 2023 Georgia Author of the Year for First Novel. In addition to that debut, “The Cicada Tree,” his work has appeared in such publications as Southbound Magazine, Southern Literary Review, The Blue Mountain Review and The Dead Mule School of Southern Literature. He’s an active member of the Atlanta literary community, serving as a board member for Broadleaf Writers Association.

Patrick, a former attorney, earned a starred review from Publishers Weekly for her debut novel “The Floating Girls.” The book was also a finalist for the Townsend Prize for Fiction, a Reader's Digest's editors' pick, and was named by the Georgia Center for the Book as a Book All Georgians Should Read. She is also the author of “The Night the River Wept,” and “Fast Boys and Pretty Girls.” Her next novel, “The Sins of Summer Daughters, “releases in July.
