Roswell Celebrates National Park, Recreation Month

In keeping with the national super-hero theme, the city will host a Dress Like A Superhero Day at its July 21 Alive in Roswell celebration.

ROSWELL, GA -- Throughout the month of July, the city of Roswell is marking National Park and Recreation Month by encouraging residents to discover their super powers at one of Roswell’s many parks.

This annual month-long celebration, led by the National Recreation and Park Association, is celebrating the super hero in all of us because, as the campaign says, “When our powers combine, we change lives.”

“Park and Recreation Month is all about getting folks outdoors to play and enjoy our parks," said Morgan Rodgers, director of Roswell's Recreation, Parks Historic & Cultural Affairs Department. "Our job is to provide as many opportunities as we can to make having fun easy and accessible for everyone. Through free fitness classes, community events and recreation opportunities, our city will celebrate this exciting month with a whole lot of fun."
