Roswell High School Band To Host MARCH Fundraiser

ROSWELL, GA — The Roswell High School Band is conducting an innovative fundraiser. It’s called MARCH (Musicians Acting with Responsibility, Compassion and Hard work).

The goal is to raise most of the operational funds of the RHS Band in a single community service working day. All students of the RHS Band and Winter Guard will be reaching out to the Roswell community, and beyond, to raise at least $400 in financial donations for a community workday.

Then on Saturday, March 17, over 150 students and volunteers will be volunteering their time to beautify different locations across Roswell, doing community service at work sites such as the Chattahoochee River, surrounding trails, Vickery Creek, cemeteries, schools and many other places.

Students will canvasing Roswell requesting a flat payment donation. One example is a $40 donation. That’s $5/hr for 8 hours of community service. All funds raised are tax deductible since the Boosters are a 501(c)(3).

This is the very first year of MARCH. And together, we can start to build the tradition and legacy of generosity, community and ownership. The band hopes everyone can support the RHS band, but more importantly the Roswell community.
