The incident was reported to Milton police, and investigators began to work the case. Detectives coordinated with their counterparts with the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety and were able to identify a suspect who police say was involved in a similar assault a week earlier.

During interviews with both victims, detectives were able to confirm the identity of Mancilla. Mancilla was taken into custody on Wednesday, and Milton police say he confessed to both crimes.

Fulton County Jail records show Mancilla remains held on a $13,000 bond.
