Morgan Rodgers, director of Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs, recently received the ---or the 7th District of the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association.
The annual award is given to a recreation and leisure services professional who exhibits outstanding leadership and service within GRPA and outside organizations, increases recreation services to all citizens and seeks to enhance the profession for both themselves and their colleagues.

Rodgers — who has been with the city for 26 years and is also a member of the Roswell Rotary Club — was recognized for his work to ensure accessibility of recreation services to all members of the community, regardless of age or ability.
Rodgers has demonstrated his commitment to accessibility through the establishment of the new warm-water therapeutic pool set to open in early 2016 adjacent to the Adult Recreation Center and the Adaptive Therapeutic Sports Field, which will open in late spring 2016 at Waller Park Extension.
