Walk With Ease Program Helps Residents Improve Health
The city of Roswell is partnering with the National Recreation and Parks Association to host the free, six-week initiative.

ROSWELL, GA -- The city of Roswell is team up with the National Recreation and Parks Association and the Arthritis Foundation to present Walk With Ease, a six-week walking program.
Made possible through an NRPA grant, the free program helps participants improve their health while also getting active and social within their community.

- Six weeks of directed walks — from Oct. 1 to Nov. 12 — led by certified instructors at various walking trails in Roswell.
- A step monitoring device, provided for the length of the program.
- Instruction regarding proper form and stretching and strengthening exercises.
Classes meet on Saturdays at 8 a.m. The orientation meeting is at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 at Roswell’s Adult Recreation Center, which is at 830 Grimes Bridge Road.
The Walk with Ease program was initially designed by the Arthritis Foundation to help participants reduce pain from arthritis and improve overall health by safely making physical activity part of their everyday life. The program has expanded and is now open to anyone who wants to:

This program is free but spaces will be limited to 20 participants. Participants must register by using program #11015-01. Register at www.roswellgov.com/register.
