Man Killed By Tree During Hurricane Irma Identified
The Sandy Springs resident was inside his home Monday when the tree topped over and landed on him.
SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office has released the identity of the Sandy Springs resident who died Monday when a tree fell onto his home as Hurricane Irma moved through Georgia. Stanley Williams, 59, was inside the residence when the tree fell onto his home on Hardeman Road during the early afternoon hours.
The city previously told Patch the tree sliced through the house and landed on top of Williams.

In Forsyth County, Nancy Eason was a passenger inside a vehicle when a tree fell onto the car on Shadburn Road near Cumming. Eason, a retired court reporter, is the wife of Mike Eason, a retired GBI special agent-in-charge who served as Cumming's police chief from 2005 to 2009.

Two Hurricane Irma evacuees from Florida, Kaitlin Hunt, 28, and her 3-month-old daughter Riley, both died from their injuries when they were hit by a car over the weekend in downtown Woodstock. Riley was pronounced dead Saturday night while Kaitlin Hunt passed away Tuesday evening at WellStar Kennestone Hospital.
