Bananas president disputes damage to Daffin Park oaks (wtoc.com) — Savannah officials and the Savannah Bananas are at odds over how much damage construction of the team's new training facility caused to nine live oaks in Daffin Park. 4. 3 people in Savannah arrested on RICO, shoplifting charges (wtoc.com) — Savannah residents may want to know that three local people are now jailed in Chatham County on serious RICO and repeat shoplifting charges after being booked by Savannah Police. The suspects, all previously charged with shoplifting, are currently being held without bond while facing multiple racketeering and theft counts tied to alleged organized retail crime.

Construction industry champions heart health through campaign (heart.org) — Construction and design firms around Savannah are teaming up with the American Heart Association to tackle high rates of cardiovascular disease in their industry through the Hard Hats with Heart campaign. Local companies are encouraged to promote healthier food, exercise, stress reduction and CPR training, culminating in a November 19 networking event at Tubby's Tank House for participating leaders.
