1. Millions in federal funding landed at Savannah/HHI Airport for taxiway reconstruction (wtoc.com) — Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is receiving more than $4 million in federal infrastructure funding to reconstruct Taxiway F, improving its structural integrity and safety for airlines and passengers. Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock say this latest grant continues a series of investments that have brought nearly $40 million to the airport since 2021.
   

2. 4 SPD employees arrested for Flock misuse; Second GBI investigation now underway into another agency (wtoc.com) — Four Savannah Police Department employees have been arrested and two others fired after an audit found misuse of Flock license plate reader searches on acquaintances and family. City and police leaders stressed that no one is above the law and promised tighter policies and weekly audits. Another unnamed agency is now under separate GBI investigation tied to the same system.
   

3. Dasher House: At the corner of Past & Present (savannahmagazine.com) — A historic Thomas Square house at 28 E. 35th Street has been carefully restored into a modern Savannah law office while preserving its 1903 character. Preservationists and designers uncovered original woodwork, reimagined the layout for clients, and even rebuilt a grand double-door entrance. Staff say working there brings "Savannah magic" into their everyday routines.
   

4. Georgia Southern adds new Physician Assistant Program, continuing to address regional healthcare needs (griceconnect.com) — Georgia Southern is launching a new Physician Assistant master's program based at its Armstrong Campus in Savannah, aiming to train 35–40 PAs a year. The 27‑month curriculum will blend classroom learning with extensive clinical rotations, especially in underserved South Georgia communities. Leaders say it should ease local provider shortages and boost the regional economy.
   

5. Highs, lows from Savannah Steel's inaugural season (wsav.com) — Savannah's new Upshot League team, the Savannah Steel, wrapped their inaugural season 9–25 but finished with a dramatic game-winner over Jacksonville at Enmarket Arena. Despite coaching changes and heavy roster turnover, fans embraced the franchise, staying after the finale for photos and autographs as leadership weighs what's next for interim coach Toccara Ross.
