Atlanta-based company has been an official partner of Braves since 2008

Staff Report

The Atlanta Braves today announced that Atlanta-based Gas South will remain the official natural gas partner when the team moves into their new home at SunTrust Park.

“Gas South has been a great partner of our organization and we are thrilled that they have decided to extend that partnership,” said Derek Schiller, Braves executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Our fans have grown accustomed to seeing the fireworks explode from the Gas South’s iconic sign in right field. We expect Gas South’s tradition of enhancing the in-game experience to continue every time the team takes the field at SunTrust Park.”

As an official partner, Gas South will receive prominent signage in the new ballpark, including a 75 foot long “Bring the Heat” LED digital board in left field that will display pitching statistics and fan-friendly messaging throughout the game. Gas South will also continue to sponsor the popular Kiss Cam feature and will be the presenting sponsor for the Braves annual 4th of July fireworks show.

Gas South will also continue to demonstrate its community commitment by making a donation to area non-profit organizations for each strikeout thrown by a Braves pitcher, which has generated more than $200,000 for the United Way and the Salvation Army since 2009.
