City Council Considers Extending Construction Hours for Senior Living Development
If the measure is approved, the contractor will be required to keep construction noise at an acceptable level during the evenings.

The Smyrna City Council could allow a contractor to work extended hours to finish construction of an assisted living facility during their Monday evening meeting.
According to the council agenda, the measure would permit WDGCG, Inc. to work on the Creekside Village Assisted Living Facility at 4838 South Cobb Dr. between the hours of 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday.
WDGCG, Inc. will need to ensure that any lights on the job site that are operated during the extended working hours do not interfere with the residents in the surrounding areas. The contractor must also reduce its noise output between 6 and 8 p.m. during the week and between 6 and 7 p.m. on Saturday.
