🌱 Cobb County Gas Price Update + Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays

Hello again, neighbors. It's Tuesday in Smyrna-Vinings and I'm back in your inbox to get you caught up on all the most important things happening locally. Here goes.

First, today's weather:

A t-storm around in the p.m.. High: 87 Low: 72.

Here are the top three stories in Smyrna-Vinings today:

  1. Georgia gas prices continue to fall, though Cobb County pumps are still higher than the state average. As of Jul. 18, the average price per gallon is $4.04 statewide, with Cobb County drivers paying an average of $4.22 per gallon. The downward trend is reportedly due to weakened demand for gasoline as well as lower oil prices. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. The City of Smyrna's Food Truck Tuesdays returns today, Jul. 19. Head to Taylor-Brawner Park between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to enjoy some of the best mobile cuisines around town. If you can't make it this week, don't worry — the trucks will return every Tuesday through Sep. 27 (no event on Sep. 6). (City of Smyrna)
  3. A mind-blowing new museum is headed to Atlantic Station, less than 20 minutes from the Smyrna-Vinings area. The Museum of Illusions, set to open later this year, will display a series of optical and spatial illusions. The Midtown Atlanta exhibit will be the latest in one of 37 locations worldwide.
