Here are the top three stories in Smyrna-Vinings today:
- The Cobb County Police Department has requested a replacement for its records management system. According to the Cobb County Chief of Police Stuart VanHoozer, the current records management system is about 16 years old, outdated, and riddled with issues. The current vendor is also unable to upgrade the system. The cost of a replacement has not yet been determined. (Cobb County Courier)

- The Cobb County Police Department reports that a 68-year-old man was killed by his industrial tractor. According to the report, the industrial tractor slid down a hill and trapped Ray F. Reece. The Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office is conducting an autopsy to confirm. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
