Here are the top three stories in Smyrna-Vinings today:

  1. The flow of early voters decreased on the second day of early voting in Cobb County. The Cobb County Elections & Voter Registration office reports the location was not busy in the early morning but voters began arriving throughout the morning into the afternoon. Early voting continues through Nov. 4. (The Atlanta Voice)
  2. The U.S. National Weather Service warns of high fire danger conditions in Cobb County. The warning is due to relatively low humidity levels coupled with strong winds. County residents are asked to refer to local burn permitting authorities on outdoor burn restrictions. Please exercise extreme caution when burning outside. (Cobb County Courier)
  3. The City of Smyrna administrative offices will be closed on Friday, Nov. 11 in remembrance of Veterans Day. Public safety operations are exempt from the closures.
