  2. A house fire at Cooper Lake Court in Smyrna on Friday has left one dead and one injured. Neighbors told news stations that a brother and sister had lived at the home for nearly two decades. Officials are investigating the cause of the blaze. (Smyrna-Vinings Patch)
  3. The Atlanta Police Department discussed its preparation to prepare nearby Atlanta for New Years Eve celebrations. The Peach Drop is back at Five Points and that combined with the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl will bring thousands of people to downtown this weekend. As part of the police and city's plans, a citywide curfew remains in effect for all minors under 18 years of age. (GPB News)
