Skelton resided in Smyrna and had lived in Cobb County since 1963. She was married for 48 years.

Beverly Ann Sears Skelton, age 69, of Smyrna passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta.
Mrs. Skelton was born to Lewis Edwin Sears and Katherine Oliver Sears on June 4, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia.
She met and married the love of her life, Charlie Skelton. The couple later had one daughter together, Michelle Skelton.
Mrs. Skelton was a long time resident of Cobb County (since 1963). She was a beloved member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Mableton. In addition to caring for her family, Mrs. Skelton also worked in the Insurance Industry for 10 years before retiring.
Beverly Ann Sears Skelton is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Douglas Charles “Charlie” Skelton and her parents, Lewis and Katherine Sears. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Skelton of Hiram, many beloved cousins, and her church family.
The family will receive friends 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM Friday, November 7, 2014 at White Columns Chapel in Mableton. Graveside Services will be held at noon at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton with Dr. Randal Whitten officiating. Burial will follow.
