Jaime Luis Baezdiaz molested a seven-year-old girl over several months in 2015.

MARIETTA, GA -- A Mableton man will spend three decades in prison after pleading guilty to molesting a young girl in his care. On Monday, as opening statements were set to begin in his trial, Jaime Luis Baezdiaz, 32, pleaded guilty to four counts of child molestation for acts on a seven-year-old girl. Baezdiaz committed the molestation over several months in 2015.
“This predator took the trust and admiration of a young child and used it against this little girl for his own perversion,” said Deputy Chief ADA Chuck Boring, who prosecuted the case with ADA Meredith Florio. “This Defendant will spend the next several decades locked away from society where he can no longer harm children.”
After accepting the plea, Cobb Superior Court Judge Reuben Green sentenced Baezdiaz to serve 30 years in prison, followed by 30 years on sex offender probation.
