Man Accused Of Killing Smyrna Man, Shoots Himself In The Face
A 22-year-old accused of killing a man in Smyrna, attempted to take his own life by shooting himself in the face. He survived the incident.
SMYRNA, GA — A man was recently shot and killed in Smyrna by a Marietta man, according to police.
Elias R. Bustamente, 22, shot and killed Michael Arreola on July 5, according to a Smyrna police arrest warrant obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. After fatally shooting Arreola, Bustamente shot himself in the face, but survived the incident.
He was booked into jail three days later on multiple felony charges, authorities said.
