Marietta Man Drowns in Chattahoochee River on Labor Day

The 22-year-old victim tried to swim across the river.

ATLANTA, GA — Police say a 22-year-old Marietta man died on Labor Day while trying to swim across the Chattahoochee River.

David Anthony Bush was reported missing around 6 pm. Police and emergency personnel responded to the call and began a search around the Sandy Point Park area of the river. National Park rangers also assisted.

Bush's body was found are 8 pm.
