Police Investigating Smyrna Homicide

SMYRNA, GA -- Cobb police are investigating a murder who happened early Sunday morning in the Calibre Lakes Apartment complex.

Police were dispatched to the apartment shortly after midnight, after a 9-1-1 caller told them he had shot another man inside his apartment.

When officers arrived, they found Michael Tyler, 33, of Marietta, dead from a gunshot wound.

No charges have yet been filed against the caller, Toryman Everett, 47, of Smyrna. Police say both he and his wife, who was inside the home at the time of the shooting, are cooperating.
