Smyrna Police Officer Rescued After Semitruck Lands On Car
A rescue crew helped save a police officer who was trapped in a Smyrna patrol car after a truck flipped on top of it.
SMYRNA, GA — A Smyrna police officer involved in an accident Thursday with an overturned tractor-trailer had to be rescued. He was trapped inside.
The wreck occurred at the intersection of Atlanta and Windy Hill Roads, said Smyrna police spokesman Sgt. Louis Defense in a news release.
Smyrna police Officer P. Colburn was rescued and taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. According to Defense he had non-life threatening injuries.
