Public Meeting for Powers Ferry Master Plan Update Next Week

Community members have one final opportunity to contribute to the plan's five-year update.

Staff Report

The second public meeting for the Powers Ferry Master Plan five-year update will be held 6:30-8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the Boy Scouts of America, 1800 Circle 75 Parkway, Atlanta. The purpose of the meeting is to get final community input on the plan update. This will be an open house so that the community can view updated recommendations, ask questions and provide comments.

The Powers Ferry Road Master Plan is a mid-to-long range plan that accommodates future growth and improves the quality of life for residents, employees and visitors of the area. The primary purpose of this plan is to effect change in an urban/suburban environment experiencing real and perceived deterioration by creating a single comprehensive vision of the community’s desires for the future. This plan provides an educational and decision-making tool that gives residents, property owners, developers and adjacent communities a clear indication of what is expected in the future for this corridor. If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to send your comments, contact Mandy Elliott at 770-528-2018 or Mandy.Elliott@cobbcounty.org.
