'I'm Ready To Die' Sword-Wielding Man Tells Cobb Family: Reports
A Douglasville man with a sword, who police said was heavily armed, forced his way into a Cobb County family's home and refused to leave.
COBB COUNTY, GA — A man with a sword showed up at a Cobb County family’s home, forced his way in and refused to leave, according to reports.
Jeffrey Pledger of Austell told WAGA-TV that on April 15 he pulled up to his home on Perry Point and saw a stranger in an SUV. He approached the vehicle’s window and asked if he could help him.
He asked me ‘Can I help you?’ Pledger said. "I said ‘You’re in my driveway. This is my home.’"

He pulled out a sword," Pledger told WAGA-TV. "He said ‘I’m ready to die, are you?' So I said, ‘whoa!’"
Police documents obtained by WAGA-TV show that the Douglasville man has been identified as Brian Wiley.

According to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, the victim walked back into his home and Wiley forced his way in. Pledger sent his wife and kids out back to call the police.
Wiley was charged with one count of burglary, two counts of terroristic threats and one count of trespassing, reported the AJC. Officers also discovered a shotgun, two handguns, a rifle, a sword, two knives and four marijuana gummies in his vehicle, according to the report.
Wiley’s Jeep has been moved out of the family’s garage and impounded. He has been in the Cobb County Jail without bond since April 15, reported the AJC.
