Smyrna Budget Hearing is Monday Night

The budget will be presented for adoption on June 15, but residents can get their first look at the budget two weeks early.

The City of Smyrna will present its tentative fiscal year 2016 budget to the general public during a meeting at Smyrna City Hall on Monday night.

According to the city’s website, the $74,624,296 budget can be examined at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can also be accessed from the circulation desk of the Smyrna City Library. Alternately, the budget has been attached to the bottom of this article for your review.

The public may give their thoughts on the budget during the Monday hearing, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. The city expects to adopt a budget at the June 15 city council meeting.
