Smyrna Councilman Tapped for Municipal Association Legislative Policy Council
Ron Fennel will help construct the Georgia Municipal Association's legislative platform.

A sitting member of the Smyrna City Council has been selected to serve on a council with a statewide nonprofit that provides services such as consulting and legislative advice to over 500 Georgia cities.
Ron Fennel will become the newest member of the Georgia Municipal Association’s (GMA) Legislative Policy Council, the Marietta Daily Journal reported on Monday. Fennel’s duties on the council will include providing input on the association’s legislative platform, and helping to spread and enhance the platform with city leaders.
According to the GMA’s website, the organization consists of a 63-person Board of Directors and has 91-full time employees. The GMA was founded in 1933 and provides services such as technical consulting and legislative advocacy to its 521 member governments.
