Smyrna Man Killed In Vehicle Crash
Police are investigating a fatal vehicle crash last week that has claimed the life of a Smyrna man.
MARIETTA, GA -- Cobb County police are investigating a fatal traffic collision which occurred on Church Road east of Harris Road on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 around 1:15 pm. Police said a red 2008 Sym motorcycle was traveling east on Church Road approaching Tammy Lynn Drive as a white 1994 Chevrolet Corvette was traveling west on Church Road approaching Harris Road. The Chevrolet crossed into oncoming traffic on Church Road and collided with the motorcycle.
The driver of the Sym motorcycle, 51-year-old Michael Dorsey of Smyrna, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the Chevrolet, 59-year-old Patrick Durbin of Smyrna, suffered minor injuries.
