Smyrna Names New Deputy Fire Chief
Eric Mohrmann, who has been with the Smyrna Fire Department since 2003, is its new deputy fire chief and the new EMA deputy director.

SMYRNA, GA — Eric Mohrmann is the Smyrna Fire Department's new deputy fire chief, the department announced Tuesday.
He was also appointed to deputy director of the local Emergency Management Agency.
Mohrmann has been with the fire department since 2003. He has been a fire apparatus operator, a lieutenant/station officer and a battalion chief, according to the department.

In 2021, he was assigned as the division chief of training, the department said.
Mohrmann has a bachelor's in psychology from Kennesaw State University, an associate's in fire science from West Georgia Technical College is a state certified paramedic, the department said.

He received an executive certificate in business strategy from Kennesaw State in 2021.
