Woman Killed in Overnight Wreck at I75/285 Interchange

Smyrna, GA -- A woman was killed in an overnight crash at the I-75/285 interchange in Cobb County.

Police say a white 2002 International tractor-trailer was traveling southbound on I-75. A Toyota Rav4 was also traveling southbound on the interstate, when its driver made several erratic lane changes, slammed into the driver’s side of the tractor-trailer, and lost control.

The Toyota rolled over multiple times, and the driver, who was unrestrained, was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She has not yet been identified.

The truck driver is Clyde Dantignac IV, 50, of Augusta. He was not injured.
