UPDATE: Armed Robbery Suspect Shot During SWAT Standoff
The suspect's identity has been released.

MABLETON, GA -- An armed robbery suspect was shot during an early Monday morning SWAT standoff at a Mableton Parkway Marathon gas station.
The incident happened at 6430 Mableton Parkway, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), which has also released the suspect's identity: Demetrius Dorsey, 18, of Atlanta.
"Cobb police responded to an armed robbery alarm at the Marathon Convenience Store," according to the GBI. "Responding officers learned that the armed gunman had barricaded himself inside the store, taking two employees as hostages. The CCPD SWAT team deployed to the scene with crisis negotiators. During the standoff, Dorsey was shot by a SWAT officer."

The two hostages were not injured, and the handgun belonging to Dorsey was recovered from the scene.
Dorsey was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he later died.
