Austell Wendy's Robbed Early Thursday Morning
Employees were closing the restaurant shortly after midnight when an armed man entered.

AUSTELL, GA -- Police are investigating an early morning armed robbery at an Austell Wendy's.
Police say workers were closing the business shortly after midnight Thursday morning when an armed man entered. He forced the employees not only to give him the money from the cash registers, but also demanded that they give him what was inside their pockets.
He then fled the area on foot toward Riverside Parkway. The restuarant is located at 185 South Service Road.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, and slender. He was last seen wearing blue pants, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black jacket and “Converse” sneakers. He also wore a blue bandanna which partially covered his face.
No one was injured during the robbery and anyone with information about it is asked to call (770) 499-3945.
