Make a plan for your household If you are facing eviction
Good morning
Gentle reminder about the cdc eviction moratorium and rental assistance
The eviction moratorium is expected to expire on July 31st 2021
That means if your case was submitted to the magistrate court in the county you live in and the judge gave a final judgement you will be evicted
Some people were on the final judgement case prior to March 2020 and the evictions was halted or
Some of you missed answering the notification from the courts or your landlord terminated your leases
If you think that you are on the list contact Cobb magistrate court or the county you live in do not just contact your leasing office contact the courts
There will not be warning
If you contact them now and seek rental assistance there is a possibility that your landlord will cancel the final writ of possession however if your landlord will not cancel the final writ of possession you should start looking for a place to live and seek hope Atlanta or must ministries for the rapid rehousing program which will pay 6 months of your rent at your your new location
I repeat please do not wait until the sheriff arrive to your house
Please don’t ignore notices from your office or court
Please note you still have time to get the assistance
