Doug Stoner At It Again

Stoner Defeated in Effort to Once Again Downgrade South Cobb Community

Doug Stoner, Chairman of the South Cobb Redevelopment Authority (SCRA) appeared at the Cobb County Board of Commissioner's (BOC) Zoning Meeting on yesterday to request rezoning for the Magnolia Crossing property from PVC to R20. In December of 2016, Stoner requested that the zoning be changed from R20 to PVC in order to construct a live, work, play community on this prime piece of property. Stoner has downplayed the development of this property for over 6 years, holding onto it for political gain. It all came crumbing down on him yesterday.

What do you expect from someone related to J. B. Stoner, a known segregationist and a bomber that took the lives of innocent black children? Yes, I said it! I will say what no one else is willing to say about this guy. He has fell nothing short of destroying our community with his so-called studies, degrading our community, serving like a master on a plantation. He took away our ability to make decisions for our own community by passing a Senate bill when he was a State Senator that took the community input away from the community making him the top decision maker for our community. He has kept us in limbo for six years with no regret.

Now he's running for the State House. He was planning to use Magnolia Crossing once again for his political gain. People YOU have a chose. We cannot allow people like Doug Stoner to serve our State in any capacity. He is not good for himself, let alone to serve the people of Cobb County.

Our State deserves more than the likes of Doug Stoner. Mind you, hopefully our community will be rid of him in January 2023. He has downplayed our community in more ways than you can imagine. But yesterday the BOC was able to give our community a new breath of life for revitalization. I thanked each one of them for their vision to see through his shenanigans and save our community from his further destruction.

On November 8th, you have to VOTE NO to Doug Stoner! He should not be allowed to do to your communities, what he has done to OURS!
