GBI Investigating Officer-Involved Shooting in Austell
The incident happened on Sunday when a suspect allegedly attacked officers with a Taser.
AUSTELL, GA -- An officer-involved shooting on Sunday in Austell is being reviewed by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The incident happened around 10:30 am when a suspect in a domestic disturbance allegedly attacked police with a Taser, reports 11 Alive.
Police told the GBI that the suspect took a Taser from one of the officers and fired it multiple times at the officer. Two other officers fired their weapons at the suspect, who was later taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Several officers were also taken to the hospital.
