Atlanta Cop Recovering After South Cobb Drive Collision
Officer Gabriel McElroy was off duty when the accident happened Wednesday morning at Six Flags Drive and Elsner Road.
AUSTELL, GA -- An off-duty Atlanta police officer was seriously injured in an early morning crash on Six Flags Drive.
The accident happened around 6 am at the Elsner Road intersection, reports Channel 2 Action News.
A truck collided head on with a car being driven by Officer Gabriel McElroy, with both vehicles seriously damaged.

The officer is being reported in serious condition but expected to survive. He is being treated at a local hospital. The truck driver did not suffer any serious injuries.
