Life In Prison For Man Who Hog-Tied, Killed Elderly Woman

Odes Dupree was sentenced to life without parole in the death of Florene Duke.

Odes Dupree, convicted in the death of a 75-year-old Douglasville grandmother, was sentenced to life without parole plus 60 years.

Dupree was sentenced on Monday, reports the AJC.

In November 2014, Florene Duke was hog-tied and her face covered while Dupree called an Atlanta drug dealer to help him remove her televisions to pay off a drug debt. The drug dealer, who was later arrested, led police to Dupree.

Last week, a jury found Dupree guilty of felony murder, malice murder, kidnapping, robbery and burglary in the first degree.
