Lower Property Taxes for Cobb

Commissioners Tuesday lowered the county millage rate from 7.72 to 7.52 mills, a move that is expected to result in reduced property tax bills.
The owner ofΒ a $100,000 homeΒ is expected to save $6;Β the owner of a $200,000 home is expected to saveΒ $14; and the owner of aΒ $500,000 home is expected to save $38, according to theΒ Marietta Daily Journal.

The new millage rateΒ will beΒ reflected on property tax bills due Oct. 15, according to theΒ Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
