Man Convicted in Mableton Waffle House Robbery

The holdup of the restaurant on Six Flags Drive happened last October.

A Cobb jury returned Wednesday afternoon a guilty verdict in an armed robbery case involving a Mableton restaurant.

District Attorney Vic Reynolds announced Thursday that 44-year-old Kenneth Andre Eason ofΒ Fayetteville was convicted of armed robbery for his role in the Oct. 28, 2012, holdup of a Waffle House onΒ Six Flags DriveΒ inΒ Mableton. Eason could get life in prison when he is sentenced atΒ 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 11.

Charges are still pending against two codefendants in the case, Shantel Monique Washington and Charles B. Anderson.

β€œArmed robberies … are extremely serious crimes that not only harm individuals, but threaten businesses large and small,” Reynolds said in Thursday’s news release.Β β€œWe will continue to prosecute these crimes aggressively and seek lengthy prison sentences on the individuals convicted of these offenses.”
