Community meeting for Residents that reside in the Riverside/Six Flags community

Community Reflections Cause Concerns for Riverside ResidentsWe thrive on Riverside Renters Association will host a community meeting forResidents in the Riverside Community on September 13th. The meeting will be held atPremier Learning Academy 7225 Premier Lane Austell Georgia at 5:30pm. Tackling concerns amidst recent developments is top of the agenda for this communitymeeting .The Atlanta journal Constitution reported as the past year there were 7 apartments listed as dangerous dwellings. The Riverside community is 55 percent renter occupied. 60percent of the school age children that attend its attendance zone school reside incorporation owned landlord apartments. The Evictions are on the rise for the area and thelimited resources are a hot topic for the residents and area stakeholders as well. Other changes are also affecting the community greatly. Healthy Outlook The Cobb -Douglas public health department will build its new full-service health facility on theproperty formerly known as Magnolia Crossing Apartments located on Riverside Parkway. Some are preparing for thisshift in different ways as residents are planning to host farmer’s market in thecommunity to build other revenues of income and strengthen the local economy.The outcome goals for this gathering are projected to be improved outlook of publicsafety, engaging education services and an overall healthy forecast for the community. .
