Riverside Parkway Will Become The New Bankhead Highway
Watch UP Everybody, Public Housing Coming To Riverside
After seven (7) years in the making the South Cobb Redevelopment Authority decides to host a community meeting at the Riverside EpiCenter, to unveil their plan for the old Magnolia Crossing apartment complex. All orchestrated by the one and only, Doug Stoner, who has now decided
he wants to run for public office AGAIN. In his quest for public office he has rushed a so-called public housing development that will leave our community in ruins within a five (5) year time span. Community involvement is what must happen or we will become the next Hollywood Court, Bowen Homes, Bankhead Court, Hernadon Homes, etc. Our community deserves more than to become a public housing dumping ground as I, myself, will not stand by and let that happen.
Their plan of locating a public housing community within the confinement of such a prize piece of property should not and will not be accepted in our community. I am one for affordable housing but not at the expense of public housing. Doug Stoner was given the most beautiful plan for that diamond in the rough, but he chose to not build because he didn't want our community to look better than his community; Smyrna. If you wish to see a copy, I have one to show.

The site of Magnolia Crossing as it sits right now, a diamond in the rough. The most beautiful view of the Atlanta Skyline, 10 minutes from downtown, 20 minutes to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport by way of Riverside Parkway, easy access to I20/285/75/85, home of Six Flags Over Georgia and presence of the beautiful EpiCenter just across the interstate. Now, why would Doug Stoner want a public housing community on such a prime piece of real estate with such strong attributes of being the most beautiful establishment in Cobb County if allowed to come full circle?
There are taxpaying homeowners in this community working hard to provide a living for their families along with the upkeep of their property. By taxpaying, I mean the property taxes paid by homeowners that help to line the coffin of the county's budget to provide greater services to the citizens of Cobb County. Every homeowner is paying their fair share. Eliminate the homeowners and Doug Stoner gets his wish, a poverty stricken community with no chance of survival. One white man with the help of one black woman destroying an entire community. We can't let that happen.

Many community leaders are working hard to change the image of our community. This is a new year, 2022 and you will see changes you have never seen before happen right before your very eyes. I'm onboard and need the community to come onboard as well. Your quality of life is being threatened by Doug Stoner and his Klan, so we must stop him in his tracks. He is not good for our community as he has proven. He makes decisions for our heavily populated African American community and he doesn't even live here. Last time I checked that was the expletive definition of a SLAVE PLANTATION. Oh, and last but not least, he sponsored legislation when he was a State Senator to be able to do exactly what he is doing to our community today. He planned it, sponsored it, and now he plans to execute it. But not on OUR watch.
All I can say to those demanding public housing, SADDLE UP, LOSE SOME WEIGHT because you're in for a bumpy ride.
The District Commissioner has been more than accommodating to the plight of evictions in our community for those crying out for help. She hosted a job fair as well as a path to homeownership seminar, but none of the women demanding rental assistance showed up to either. It's time to move on and build our community for the next working generation.
Doug Stoner's vision for our community is toxic with the blessing of one black woman that refuses to realize she has to pay her way just as the homeowners residing in our community pays their way. Time out for keeping my mouth shut, game on.
You will meet the Riverside Beth Dutton (if you watch Yellowstone you'll know who I mean). I remain Denny Wilson.
