Smyrna Man Arrested, Charged With Child Cruelty
The man has been accused of holding a child while threatening a woman with a knife.

A Smyrna man is being held on a $16,720 bond in the Cobb County Adult Detention Facility after allegedly threatening a woman with a knife while holding a two-year-old child.
According to the Marietta Daily Journal, 43 or 44-year-old Jasinto Vail was arrested on Oct. 8 after allegedly striking a woman on the face, using foul language towards her, and the aforementioned knife wielding.
Records at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center indicate that Vail has been charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor battery, third degree cruelty to children, and misdemeanor public intoxication. Vail has yet to be indicted on any of the charges and he is to be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Vail is being held at the jail with bond, but Immigrations and Customs Enforcement has placed a hold on his release.
