TCB Auto Care - Taking Care of Business One Vehicle at a Time
This independent repair shop owner keeps customers coming back with his belief in honesty and fair pricing.
Brad Latham, the owner of in Mableton, has one philosophy about running his business.
"Do the job right the first time at a fair price, and you'll have loyal customers for life," he says.
Latham learned this simple concept back in 1983 when he starting working for his father at what was once Hyde's Oldsmobile auto company. Latham's father, taught him to take pride in his work and to treat each customer's car like it was his own. At this early age, Latham decided to make car repair his profession of choice and has been repairing them for many years.
In 1999, Latham starting working at the Express Lube in Austell where he remained until he opened his own shop in April 2009 at the 4426 Floyd Rd. location. During his many years in the repair industry, Latham has kept up with the advances in automobile services by learning the ins and outs of computer diagnostics.
"I've developed a loyal following of customers over the years," he says, " and through mostly word of mouth I continue to gain new customers as time goes by."
When Latham isn't busy repairing vehicles, he does a little moonlighting for the local Legionnaires Lodge as an Elvis tribute artist. He's been performing Elvis songs since the age of 12.

From this admiration of Elvis came the inspiration for his repair shop's name and lightening bolts logo. TCB being short for the famous Elvis song "Taking Care of Business" and the lightening bolts indicating "in a flash".
Musical performance runs in Latham's family as his father was a local musician and singer for many years in the Austell area.

"I hope someday that my son (who is 2 ½ years old) will also carry on the musical tradition in our family."
Latham treats his customers like family and will even loan out the company truck at no charge to patrons whose auto repairs may take a day or two to complete.
"It's just something extra we provide for customers who may not have another travel option," Latham says. "Small town values still mean something around here and we take pride in that fact."
Along with providing repair and maintenance work on foreign and domestic cars, TCB Auto Care also carries new and used tires and is a U-Haul rental center.
"We're here to stay and we want the local residents to know they can count on us."
