• 'Never doubt yourself': St. Marys student competes at national speech competition in Dallas (news4jax.com) — An 11-year-old Advance Learning Academy student from St. Marys recently took his speech from a local Fraternal Order of Eagles competition all the way to a national stage in Dallas, placing fifth in his age group. Despite a speech impediment, he delivered a flawless performance, earned local recognition back home, and hopes his story encourages other kids not to doubt themselves.
