14-Year-Old Shot At Stonecrest Mall: Reports
The boy accidentally shot himself, prompting crowds to flee the mall during a holiday shopping weekend, according to reports.

STONECREST, GA — Holiday shoppers were interrupted Saturday at the Mall at Stonecrest when a 14-year-old accidentally shot himself in the leg, according to media reports.
The incident occurred about 2:15 p.m., according to FOX 5 Atlanta, which reported the boy was transported to a hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.
“There was a kid outside Forever 21 and he shot himself in the leg, with a gun,” Xavier Scott, who works at the mall, told WSB-TV. “That’s when everyone started running, and a few minutes later, police came with M4’s and all that.”

A woman hurt in the crowd fleeing the gunfire was also brought to a hospital, 11 ALIVE reported, adding the mall was evacuated but reopened later that afternoon, although many stores remained closed.
