Award-Winning Muralist To Speak at ART Station

Eric Grohe is scheduled to visit July 21.

Muralist Eric Grohe will come to the city of Stone Mountain to speak on Saturday, July 21, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the theater, 5384 Manor Drive, 30083.

Producer Jack Sartain, co-founder of the DeKalb Council of the Arts, announced Grohe's upcoming visit at the this week.

Grohe's three-dimensional images are created using a style called trompe l'oeil. For example, he can take the side of a building from blank bricks to a detailed scene of a lively town square. A plain wall and walk-through space at a private school is transformed to look as if it has new structural supports, complete with artistic detailing and even people reading.
