D.A.T.E Hosts Drive-Thru Promotion Ceremony for Seniors

S.T.E.M AdvancEd Accredited Elementary and Middle School Honors Eighth-Grade Students with Graduation

DeKalb Agriculture Technology & Environment, Inc. (D.A.T.E.) celebrated their eighth-grade seniors in a special way this year. On June 2nd, administrators and teachers held a drive-thru promotion ceremony presenting more than 85 Class of 2020 yard signs, certificates, and stoles to their seniors in honor of their hard work and dedication during their time at D.A.T.E.

"It was an important day for our 8th graders, their families, and our staff." says Dr. Maury Wills,
C.E.O. of D.A.T.E. "We hope this day showed our students just how special they are to us as they
embark on the road to high school. We look forward to seeing all of the exciting things to come
for them!"

To add to the celebration, families were encouraged to decorate their cars and make signs for the big day. Upon arriving, each graduate was directed down a designated route where they pulled up to a table to receive their graduation bag. Here, teachers and administrators cheered and congratulated each student individually as they have officially been promoted and are moving up to high school in the fall.
